Adventures in Book Making

It's been a stressful few months, and last night I was able to take a moment and do something fun. I also found some paper samples that a friend had given me that I had yet to do anything with, so I decided to have some fun and make a few books. They turned out pretty rough, but now that I have the process down, there will be more to come, and some may even make their way into the shop.

Since the paper was from a friend I decided she should get a set of the books.

The books are about 4x5.5

The inner pages are made of highly textured Strathmore paper.

Paper, paper everywhere!

The Monarch kitchen has been cooking up some new things lately, and it's of the paper variety.

In addition to cards, I've been designing and printing bookmarks as well. As much as I love the convenience of iBooks, nothing beats the smell and feel of paper.

Plus I always lose the random scraps of paper that I use to hold my places. Why not make something pretty to encourage me to keep better track of them?

And of course I've been making a few other things as well (non paper related).

Some of you may know that I've been chilling out on the photo work a bit, and trying to get more of my design work out there, but for those of you who don't, here's a small taste of what I've been doing in my spare time (when not finishing up schoolwork).

You can keep up with new items and news via the facebook page, or if you see something you like and want to grab one for yourself or someone special, hop on over here to the Etsy shop.

Till next time!
